Job SummaryThe Brand Communications Manager is responsible for developing brand communications content and executing brand activation that aligns with business goals and supports business growth.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities Oversight and Project Management- Planning:
Understand the opportunity for communications to progress business goals and create overarching plans and communication tactics that align and progress our business growth and goals. - Agency Management:
Manage ongoing projects with agency partners to deliver on time deliverables within agreed upon budget.
- Champion the shift toward digital-first approaches that expand reach beyond traditional events. Help Rousselot own thought-leadership on collagen and gelatin by upgrading our social media presence, blogs, website content and other digital media. Train marketing and sales colleagues to deliver digital excellence.
- Copywriting:
Write and edit copy for web and social media platforms, ensuring clarity, consistency and alignment with brand voice; write executive communications in support of the brand; write customer and supplier communications as needed to support the business. - Content strategy and calendar:
Develop and manage editorial calendars for Rousselot social media accounts. Create, coordinate the creation of and/or execute organic social media content as needed. - Campaign planning and execution:
Create campaigns aligned to the brand and monitor success across multiple channels, sharing feedback and reports that drive action to continuously refine execution. - Social media oversight:
Manage and monitor corporate social media accounts and implement governance program. - Social media guidelines:
Develop global social media guidelines and standards for both brands and employees. Serve as an advisor on social media content and standards across the organization. - Video development:
Provide script and creative direction for in-house made videos designed for external use to support brand and business messaging, execute and edit with support of Marketing & Communications Specialist.
- Guarantee seamless execution of global brand campaigns across industry-relevant touchpoints, including fairs, conferences, trade media, and digital platforms, including webinars.
- Help set best practices/standards and overall success criteria for brand activation events with report out of ROI.
- Ensure brand adoption across the company, including facility signage, roll-up banners for customer events, digital touchpoints, brochures, marketing materials, etc.
- Partner with HR on key aspects of employer branding, such as templates for announcements and best practices for communication.
- Building brand awareness:
Oversee earned content to improve overall footprint and pickup. Plan and execute events for trade media directly coordinating with journalists.
- Intranet:
Develop our Rousselot intranet execution plan and market-oriented content including customer visits and wins, events, innovation, and newly launched co-branded customer products. - Collaborate with internal and external teams:
Work cross-functionally, across departments and brands, to develop engaging blogs and social media content, ensuring consistent, cohesive messaging. - Promote positive company culture by contributing to and by creating and distributing brand related content that highlights company values and mission.
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, media studies or related discipline.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills, and proficiency in AP Style.
- Eight or more years of work experience in journalism, communications, marketing agency or a related field.
- Experience using and managing social media platforms (Linked In, X, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently and as an experienced member of the team, coaching junior colleagues.
- Experience writing for and supporting executive communications.
- Experience managing agency relationships.
- Experience planning a yearly social media calendar with multiple themes across diverse businesses.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and AI tools (e.g., Google Gemini).
- Media experience including but not limited to paid media, earned content, shared media and writing original press releases.
- Script and creative direction for in-house made videos.
