The Hill is seeking a Temporary Manager of Client Engagement responsible for project management and event logistics for its growing events portfolio.
This position will report to the Director, Client Engagement and collaborate with a dynamic, dedicated team of events, sales and marketing professionals to execute a variety of in-person and virtual thought leadership events.
Responsibilities:- Serve as point of contact and project manager for a select portion of our live events portfolio
- Develop and manage event operations, timelines and deliverables, communicating internally and externally with white glove service
- Take ownership of all facets of bringing an event to life, including establishing processes that create a smooth client journey
- Responsible for all event logistics, from RFPs to contracting venues to vendors for rentals, catering, security and other aspects of production
- Coordinate internal meetings for events with a larger internal stakeholder group, as well as sends calendar holds for the team and executives for events
- Traffic creative with internal teams, clients and venues for on-site event materials and supplies, such as signage, backdrops and sponsor materials
- Manage on-site set up and production on day of event, from sponsor needs to vendor logistics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects at a given time
- Ability to be flexible, adaptable, collaborative and a team player
- Ability to work independently, be proactive, and take initiative
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, and experience creating client-facing materials
- Strong understanding of Washington, DC, political/advocacy landscape and relationship management
Ideal candidates should have 3+ years' experience with event management, public relations, advocacy, communications and/or marketing.
Compensation Range:$35 - $40 (hourly) based upon experience
