Position Summary
Director, Social Media & Influencer Strategy (Caris Detect) will build a modern influence ecosystem connecting consumers, patients, healthcare professionals, wellness communities, ambassadors, creators, and trusted voices through authentic engagement and compelling storytelling.
Job Responsibilities- Own Caris Detect social media strategy and presence across priority channels, ensuring consistent messaging, brand standards, scientific accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality execution.
- Develop and manage the social media editorial calendar with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Create, publish, optimize, and analyze social media content; improve performance using audience insights and analytics.
- Partner with Creative and Digital Marketing to align social content with integrated campaigns, product launches, and brand strategy.
- Develop and execute executive social media strategies for leadership/thought leadership visibility.
- Build and execute integrated influencer, ambassador, and creator programs supporting commercial and launch priorities.
- Identify, recruit, develop, and manage relationships with creators, ambassadors, healthcare professionals, wellness experts, patient advocates, and celebrity partners.
- Partner with the Patient Advocacy team to coordinate external presence and complement patient advocacy efforts.
- Direct agency partners and external collaborators; review/approve content for consistency, accuracy, compliance, and quality.
- Monitor audience insights, brand sentiment, competitive activity, cultural trends, and online communities; mitigate risks.
- Evaluate emerging platforms/technologies to find growth opportunities.
- Establish measurement frameworks, KPIs, and reporting tying social/influencer initiatives to business outcomes.
- Analyze performance and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize programs.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Care, Corporate Communications, Creative, Legal/Regulatory, and others.
- Communicate performance, trends, risks, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
- 10+ years progressive experience leading social media/influencer marketing/brand marketing/digital engagement/community-building (preferably healthcare/diagnostics/biotech/medical devices/consumer health/wellness).
- Proven success building high-performing social channels, influencer and ambassador programs, and community engagement driving measurable business results.
- Strong understanding of building trust/community/cultural relevance via social, creators, and digital engagement.
- Experience managing external agencies and talent/creator partnerships.
- Exceptional written communication, storytelling, editorial, and content development skills.
- Strong analytical skills translating performance data into actionable insights.
- Exceptional project management/organizational/communication skills in a fast-paced cross-functional environment.
- Ability to influence diverse internal/external stakeholders; hands-on, execution-oriented leadership.
- MBA or advanced degree.
- Experience with consumer health/wellness/fitness/longevity/performance brands.
- Experience supporting commercialization of healthcare/diagnostics/biotech/medical device/consumer health products.
- Experience with executive thought leadership, social listening, audience intelligence, and digital reputation management.
- Experience in regulated healthcare or life sciences.
