PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

Assist the President and CEO in meeting the goals of the Irving Schools Foundation as set by the Board of Directors by facilitating efficient and effective Foundation office operations while providing a high level of support to district personnel. Manage and oversee assigned programs to ensure alignment with the Foundation's mission and objectives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

Education/Certification:

* Bachelor's degree required
- Degree in business, communications, nonprofit management, or related field preferred.

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision.

* Experience with community partnerships, volunteer coordination, and event management.

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, donor management systems, and marketing platforms.

* Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and communicate program impact.

Minimum Experience:

* Three or more years of experience in the non-profit sector, specifically in volunteer coordination, community outreach, event management, and marketing

* Exceptionally strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills

* Ability to manage multiple projects and work assignments with little or no supervision

* Must possess exceptional customer service skills and ethics, with high expectations for quality products and services

* Must be proficient in using the latest versions of computer technology

* Must be innovative, resourceful, and would prefer an individual who has experience in negotiating and building partnerships with vendors

* Experience utilizing donor management systems (Salesforce, Donor Perfect, Raiser's Edge, Bloomerang) is preferred, however, database experience is required.

* Familiarity with platforms such as Constant Contact, Microsoft Teams, Canva, , Asana, Jotform and Sign Up Genius is preferred but not required.

* Above-average proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Project Management

1. Manages ISF Projects such as Food for Thought, C2C Store, Supplies for Success, and

Caring and Sharing, which includes inventory management, marketing, community

outreach, event coordination, volunteer coordination, and fundraising.

2. Holds weekly meetings with direct reports to ensure that projects are meeting

deadlines and reaching desired outcomes.

3. Additionally, oversee the management and coordination of ISF's disbursement of scholarships and grants.

4. Ensure programs operate within budget and comply with funding requirements.

Community Outreach

1. Schedule, implement, and periodically suggest new community-based programs,

partnerships, and other engagement initiatives that would support ISF Projects

2. Identify, initiate, and deepen relationships with various community stakeholders

3. Responsible for researching and attending community events where ISF may gain

exposure to a new group of donors and promote its mission. These include community fairs, festivals, etc.

4. Implement meetings, surveys, and other ways for communicating with, and receiving

feedback from the community about ISF and its initiatives

5. Attend community meetings on behalf of ISF to hear community concerns, provide

information about community engagement and volunteer opportunities

6. Distribute information to the public and community through multiple media channels

(website, social media, etc.)

Volunteer Coordination

1. Coordinate and manage volunteers for Foundation and District projects and special

events.

2. Develop a volunteer management program to attract, train, retrain and coordinate

background checks for volunteers.
