Staffing Educator/Coordinator – Irving, TX
RN or LVN
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facility, and as may be directed by the Administrator, DON, and the Medical Director, to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Responsibilities- Provide education upon hire, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (RN's, LVN's, CNA's, Med Aides, etc.)
- Ensure top-quality resident care
- Guide Orientation Process and Annual In-services
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Follow up to ensure employee understand how to
- Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standards
- Provide education for deficiencies when needed
- Manage electronic record-keeping procedures
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Proven experience as an Nurse Educator with Supervisor experience
- In-depth knowledge of nursing home procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient care
- Great knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
- Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in Healthcare
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and people skills
- Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- Degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plus
- Valid nursing license (LVN or RN) and CPR certification
- Must possess, as a minimum a completed nursing license from an accredited nursing program/college/university.
- Must have, as a minimum, two (2) years’ experience as a fully-functioning SNF/LTC Supervisor
- Must have, as a minimum, five (5) years’ experience as a practicing Registered Nurse or Licensed Nurse
- Must have knowledge of EMR - electronic medical record systems, Matrix Care specifically preferred, Microsoft Office suite, and general office machines and equipment.
