Texas Oncology is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN) II to join our team! This position will support the Texas Breast Specialists at Grapevine and Irving, Tx locations. This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30 AM–5:00 PM) with no weekends, calls or major holidays. This position will support both the Grapevine and Irving locations.

Whatdoes the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) II do?
Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care for patients in line with national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care and participate in company‑wide quality initiatives. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
Responsibilities- Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote the continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
- Assess health status by interviewing patient regarding current status and medical history.
- Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material.
- Provide psychosocial support to patients and families.
- Facilitate clinical operations and patient care.
- Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy telephone line and record the information in the patient chart.
- Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals and future appointments for patients.
- Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient’s chart.
- As necessary, facilitate communication between patient/family and interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care.
- Assist patients in locating available community resources.
- Interprofessional collaboration.
- Act as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience.
- Willing to consider entry, mid‑, or senior‑level candidate.
- Current RN state license with the state board of nursing in the practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
