Shift: Full time, Monday-Friday 8am-4pm (can be variable based on needs of the unit)
Experience: 5 years of total RN experience (2+ years of ED). 2 years of Supervisor (ED or House Supervisor). Manager experience preferred. BSN is required, Masters preferred.
Emergency Department
Patient Population: All ages, acuities, stages of life and types.
Number of Beds: 50 rooms, 5 Triage rooms
Department Specifics: Busy, fast paced ED, Primary Stroke Center, Chest Pain Center, Great EMS Partnerships, CT Scanner within the ED, Collaborative relationship with Physicians, Self-scheduling, Certified Emergency Nurse fees paid, Evidence-Based Practices, Shared governance

As Nursing Manager, level 2 RN, you shape a positive team environment, ensure high-quality nursing practices, teamwork, and patient safety. You create plans, implement policies, manage resources, oversee finances, and manage quality improvement efforts. Arrange educational programs to meet goals and act as caregiver when needed.
Essential Functions of the Role- Formulate and communicate a clear vision for nursing practices within your area of responsibility.
- Involve supervisory and other staff in setting and accomplishing departmental goals.
- Continually update your knowledge base with the latest evidence-backed clinical and leadership practices.
- Foster a healing and supportive environment for patients, families, and fellow staff members.
- Recognize development needs and facilitate educational opportunities for staff members.
- Set a positive example of professionalism within the nursing field and work atmosphere.
- Incorporate the organization's mission and goals into strategies for staff and patient care.
- Knowing nursing practices, follow healthcare laws, and communicate well.
- Quality care, patient focus, and ethical practices are essential.
- Decision-making, resource management, and ethics are crucial skills.

Qualifications- Bachelor's degree.
- RN licensed.
- You also need Basic Life Support certification within the first 30 days on the job.
