Job Summary and QualificationsThe Nursing Supervisor ensures high quality, patient‑centered nursing care through oversight of a specific shift or segment of operations. The Nursing Supervisor monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures, models a commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values, and creates an environment to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.
Whatyou will do in this role
- Participates in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Implements evidence‑based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
- Models, promotes, and holds staff accountable for providing consistent, positive interactions that create an unparalleled patient experience. Ensures adherence to standards of care.
- Fosters interdisciplinary communication and collaboration within and across departments to meet patient care needs.
- Participates in interviews, selection, onboarding and training of staff.
- Assumes responsibility for the daily management of staff, including operational supervision, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Oversees staff scheduling and maintains staffing in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Ensures equipment maintenance is performed regularly and according to regulatory and/or accreditation standards.
- Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.
- Represents the organization positively within the community; participates in company‑supported community/patient events and in‑services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate Degree or Bachelor’s Degree
