Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Operating Room, Baylor Scott & White Heart & Vascular Hospital, Dallas. Seasonal 13‑week contract with three 12‑hour shifts per week (Monday–Friday orientation first week).

• Provide inpatient OR nursing care for vascular and minimally invasive cardiovascular surgeries.
• Scrub or assist the surgeon in accordance with hospital policy.
• Work three 12‑hour shifts weekly: 7 a.m.–7 p.m., with rotating weekend shifts.
• Maintain a patient–RN ratio of 1:1 per case (1 RN + 1 tech). High‑acuity cases may require 2 RNs + 1 tech.
• Attend one week‑night call every week, one weekend call every 6th weekend, and one holiday call per year.
• Complete orientation, COVID‑19 vaccination, and obtain BLS certification within 30 days.

• Seasonal hourly rate: $51 per shift.
• Completion bonus: $1,500 for meeting minimum productive time.
• Shift differentials: $3.50 evenings, $5 nights, $6 weekends (stackable).

• Registered Nurse license in Texas.
• Minimum 2 years experience in cardiac or vascular OR nursing; 1 year OR experience preferred; scrub experience highly preferred.
• BSN or higher preferred; degree from an accredited nursing program acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work a 13‑week seasonal contract, including specified shifts and call requirements.
