Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Seasonal 13‑week assignment)

Join Baylor University Medical Center (BUMC), part of Baylor Scott & White Health, as a Registered Nurse in our Emergency Department. This seasonal, 13‑week assignment offers competitive pay, a completion bonus, and the potential to transition into a permanent role.

• Rate: $51 per hour
• Weekly completion bonus: $1,500 upon meeting minimum productive hours
• Shift: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am (Night). Weekend shifts run on the same schedule.
• Seasonal contract: 13 weeks, excluding the first week of orientation.
• Orientation:
  Monday – Friday of week 1.

• Provide acute‑care nursing for high‑acuity patients in a Level I Trauma Magnet facility.
• Maintain patient‑to‑nurse ratio of 4:1.
• Deliver care to an average of 80 beds on the ED units.
• Adhere to all facility protocols, patient safety, and quality standards.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Valid RN license with at least one year of ED experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑urgency environment.

This seasonal assignment begins with an orientation week and continues for 13 weeks. Once the assignment is completed, the successful candidate may transition to a full‑time, part‑time, or PRN position with BUMC.
