Job Summary: Our Administrative Supervisor Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. The House Supervisor represents the Hospital and Nursing Administration in their absence and supports the mission, vision, values, and philosophy of the Department of Nursing. The House Supervisor promotes, advocates for, and supports the nursing staff’s primary commitment to protect the health, safety and rights of individuals, families and the community.
Responsibilities- Facilitate patient transfer in accordance with policy and procedure.
- Ensure standards of performance are maintained per department, with patient safety as the primary goal.
- Display an appropriate level of management acumen in effective conflict resolution involving staff, physicians or customers.
- Exercise independent judgment within the context of interdisciplinary patient care.
- Take general clinical responsibility for patient care departments for a specific shift.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
