Patient Care Tech

Full Time PCT Day Surgery (Pre‑Op) - Monday through Friday, 5am to 1:30pm

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) with day surgery, you will be a vital part of our collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands‑on care and helping to create a safe, welcoming environment for patients. In this unit of 11 private rooms, you will assist with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RNs monitor conditions and carry out care plans.

• Working front desk, answering phones
• Making charts
• Taking vitals
• Helping patients get ready for surgery
• Drawing lab work
• Performing EKGs
• Greeting patients, welcoming when walked back from registration
• Assisting with patient preparation, mobility, transfers and comfort to support smooth care and recovery
• Providing non‑medicated care such as dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices
• Keeping patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency
• Managing supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness
• Communicating kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• High School Graduate / GED
• CNA/PCT Certification
