Candidates must have experience in telemetry interpretation and PCU level of care or higher. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
Description:
This position involves working in a PCU unit. The unit has a total of 11 beds and a staff of 20. During day shifts, the unit is staffed with 1 charge nurse and 3 nurses, along with a tech when fully staffed. During night shifts, the unit is staffed similarly. Patient ratios are typically 4:1, but can rise to 5:1 if a tech is present.
The unit has bedside vital signs machines in each room. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. There is no on-call requirement for this position. Candidates may be required to float to Med Surg as needed. The preferred candidates will have experience managing critical cardiac drips and hematoma management post sheath removal. The ideal candidate will be a team player with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
