Location:
Buffalo, NY
Pay: $17.50 per hour
- Schedule Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
- Monday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Mandatory overtime is required based on business needs.
What You'll DoAs a Pharmacy Support Associate, you'll work under the supervision of a pharmacist to ensure prescription orders are filled accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules accurately
- Retrieve and process bulk and unit‑of‑use medications
- Verify medication strength, size, and product information
- Replenish automated pharmacy dispensing equipment
- Use handheld barcode scanners and computer systems
- Count and calculate medication quantities with accuracy
- Package prescriptions and prepare shipments for delivery
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and pharmacy procedures
- Meet daily production and quality goals in a fast‑paced setting
- Identify and elevate issues appropriately
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math, reading, and computer skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8+ hours)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and dependable work ethic
- Pharmacy Technician experience
- Warehouse or production experience
- Pharmacy Tech education or certification (not required in New York State)
- Knowledge of pharmacy operations and workflows
- Experience working in fast‑paced, quality‑driven environments
