Job Description

As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will inspect, test, and audit product processes following set procedures and exercising reasonable judgment. Attention to detail is essential and requires your effective performance of a variety of quality assurance and inspection operations. This is an on-site role at our DCC in Irving, TX, with a schedule of Monday-Thursday, 5:00 pm - 4:30 am.

Responsibilities
  • Perform QA Lead operations related to the test and inspection of electronic devices.
  • Conduct quality inspection operations following instructions and pre-established guidelines.
  • Create work instructions for the Quality department in collaboration with the documentation team and the Quality Supervisor.
  • Provide training to new and existing employees on 6S and work instruction.
  • Participate in the weekly department status update meeting with the department supervisor.
  • Provide SIPOC training.
  • Track weekly tasks and metrics.
  • Provide ANSI/AQL results to external customers.
  • Establish and evolve formal QA processes, ensuring that the team uses industry-accepted best practices.
  • Oversee all aspects of quality assurance, including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all QA aspects of releases, providing QA services and coordinating QA resources internally and externally.
  • Lead and mentor QA team members and manage outside contract testers.
  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures (manual and automated).
  • Enter relevant data and audit/inspection results into the computer database.
  • Provide process improvement feedback.
  • Work on multiple programs and in multiple QA functional areas.
  • Serve as a resource for questions to other co-workers when the supervisor is unavailable.
  • Document relevant facts and information to support work performed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and team-building activities.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with all team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated quality experience.
  • Ability to lead and mentor QA team members.
  • 1+ year of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ year of Quality Assurance/Inspection experience.
  • Experience with verbatim written procedure compliance.
  • Familiarity with basic electronic test equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to interact effectively and positively with all levels of company personnel.
Working Conditions and

Physical Requirements

Position requires incumbents to regularly sit at a desk and operate standard office equipment such as a computer and a barcode scanner. Employees may be required to bend, squat, kneel, reach, twist, and expose to changes in temperature. You may be near moving machinery and office machinery. Employees are occasionally required to stand and walk, lift, carry, and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is low, and the area is Electro Static Discharge (ESD) safe; wrist straps and smocks must be worn at all times.

Pay Range

$19.08 - $30.53 per hour.
