Quality Specialist

The main purpose of the QC Specialist position is to provide support to the Quality Control department through various job functions.

Receiving, Quarantining and Releasing Products

• Chemical bulk receipt processing, inspection and release.
• Device bulk receipt processing, inspection and release.
• Maintain Quarantine Areas.

Calibration and Maintenance

• Maintain calibration and maintenance schedules.
• Schedule calibration and maintenance services.
• Monitor environmental conditions throughout location.

Quality Events and Document Control

• Perform investigations (Deviations, NCMRs, CAPAs, SCARs).
• Initiate Change Controls.
• Quality review of documents.
• File and organization of various documentation when assigned.
• Support functions of QC Inspectors and assist when requested.

• Education:
  
  Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a Science related field or relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum one (1) year experience in Quality Control environment.
• Proven decision making and problem solving skills; applies judgment.
• Detail oriented is a must.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) required;
  Syspro/Master Control an asset.
• Ability to lift to 60 lbs.
