Quality Control Technician (Aircraft Parts)

Location: Irving, TX

Work Type: Onsite

Schedule: Monday to Friday, regular business hours

Contract Type: 12 months with potential extension based on performance and business needs

Industry: Aerospace Manufacturing

About the Role

The ideal candidate has strong inspection and documentation experience, with a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of aircraft parts, quality compliance, and non‑conformance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect customer orders to ensure the correct parts are included and meet quality standards.
  • Review parts to determine the required FAA approval and documentation.
  • Complete and verify required shipping and quality documents, including FAA Form 8130-3 and ATA 106 certificates.
  • Confirm all paperwork, certifications, and customer requirements are complete and accurate before orders are released.
  • Follow company procedures, aviation regulations, and customer quality standards to ensure every order is processed correctly.
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of quality assurance or aerospace inspection experience is required
  • 1–2 years of experience using SAP.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, ring/pin gauges, comparator, etc.).
  • Solid knowledge of QA procedures and standards, including First Article Inspection.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general PC use.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing or distribution inspection.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100 requirements.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment.
Additional Details
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Export Compliance: Must meet "U.S. Person" definition (U.S. Citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee).
  • Overtime may be required.
