Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

The Shift Lead helps run successful day-to-day restaurant operations while creating a positive environment for both guests and team members.

This is a hands-on leadership position. Shift Leads work alongside the team while helping ensure that food quality, customer service, cleanliness, speed, and safety standards are consistently met.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, positive, and comfortable taking responsibility during busy shifts.

• Lead and support team members throughout the shift.
• Assign stations and make sure employees are prepared for their responsibilities.
• Help coordinate kitchen, tortilla, packaging, front counter, delivery, and catering operations.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately, on time, and to Fajita Pete’s standards.
• Monitor food quality, portions, presentation, and ticket times.
• Provide excellent customer service and professionally resolve guest concerns.
• Help manage catering orders and ensure they are complete and ready on time.
• Keep the team focused and productive during high-volume periods.
• Train and coach new and existing team members.
• Ensure opening and closing procedures are completed correctly.
• Monitor cleanliness throughout the restaurant.
• Ensure food-safety and sanitation procedures are followed.
• Monitor inventory and communicate low-stock items to management.
• Help reduce food waste and control portions.
• Handle cash, POS transactions, and shift-related paperwork when assigned.
• Communicate equipment, staffing, customer, or operational issues to management.
• Step into any station when the team needs additional support.

• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Ability to stay organized and calm during busy periods.
• Comfortable coaching and directing team members.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to take responsibility and solve problems.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Food Handler certification or ability to obtain required certification.

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work around hot cooking equipment.
• Ability to bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to safely lift approximately 25–50 pounds when necessary.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
