The Assistant Team Leader provides leadership for the front‑end of the store. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection and store maintenance.

• Assist the Store Team Leader with managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and reporting to achieve financial and operational goals.
• Ensure store standards, Redbook compliance, and company programs meet operational expectations.
• Maintain front‑end, entrance, and exterior of the building properly.
• Provide daily tasks to associates and ensure productivity.
• Organize and maintain office areas.
• Support Door-to-Floor process and merchandising initiatives.
• Complete monthly Operational Risk Assessment (ORA) and alarm test, ensuring corrective actions are completed.
• Lead monthly safety meetings and assess changes from meetings.
  
  Ensure customer service standards meet company expectations.
• Implement price changes as required by the company.
• Coach, train, develop, evaluate, supervise, and schedule store associates.
• Perform Team Leader duties to open and close the store when needed.
• Provide leadership concerning donation programs and Ollie’s Army sign‑ups and memberships.
• Maintain proper hiring, recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding processes.
• Complete any additional responsibilities as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of supervisory retail experience in a mid‑size to large retail or service‑oriented business.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• English reading, writing, and speaking proficiency.
• Professional work environment management skills.
• Sound judgment and ability to preserve confidentiality.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Organizational and prioritization skills within strict deadlines.
• Knowledge of industry terms and processes.
