Sales Associate

Position Starting At: $11.00

• Greet and assist customers promptly, handling multiple customers efficiently.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations; engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns, using product knowledge to offer alternative solutions and attempting to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management, providing timely updates on merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback.
• Support the team and company goals by collaborating to achieve overall store objectives and maintaining a positive, productive work environment.

• At least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers and mobile devices.
• Good communicator with the ability to engage customers.
• Capable of handling customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training.

• Frequently operate cash registers.
• Frequently move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place or remove items up to a height of 5‑10 feet.
• Frequently ascend or descend ladders to retrieve and store stock.
• Frequently position oneself to kneel, bend, twist, and stoop, including in the stock room and on the sales floor.
• Frequently communicate with customers in the store and via telephone, and with managers and coworkers; accurate information exchange is required.
• Frequently move across the sales floor to assist customers and to and from the stock room.
• Work a flexible schedule that may include day, evening, weekend, overnight shifts, and travel as required.
• Identify and follow email and print instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Remains in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.
