Responsibilities

Be a Team Member – collaborate with cross-functional teams, help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources, communicate effectively, and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service. Be flexible to the needs of the business, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.

Be an Expert – maintain an in-depth knowledge of the various types and seasonality of meat products, equipment usage and back-room operations, and provide meat products to members by processing meat according to specifications (cutting, slicing, grinding, wrapping) while ensuring compliance with food-safety standards, sanitation guidelines, and inventory management.

Be a Techie – leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement. Use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality, and adapt to new tools while encouraging others to use them.

Be an Owner – drive the business results, ensure commitment to operational excellence, plan for profitability, maintain a work area according to company policies, and secure fragile and high-shrink merchandise. Assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored.

Be a Talent Ambassador – advocate for the department and the club, value the members’ experience in the meat area, and model high-quality service and products. Execute basics at the highest possible level, interact with associates to understand roadblocks, and assist them to perform job-related duties.

Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.

Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; and communicate progress and information. Determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities and adapt to change.

Respect the Individual – embrace differences in people, cultures, ideas, and experiences to create a supportive workplace. Build strong, trusting relationships, communicate with impact, energy, and positivity, and help others thrive. Strengthen the team by mentoring and recognizing contributions.

Act with Integrity – maintain and promote the highest standards of integrity and ethics, model the company values, hold oneself and others accountable, and support the goal of becoming a regenerative company.

Serve our Customers and Members – deliver results while putting the customer first. Make decisions based on reliable information, balance short and long-term priorities, and consider how own work impacts team ability to deliver on purpose.
