The Digital Business Development Manager will support, manage, and grow digital sales, working closely with sales and operations teams to identify opportunities and drive growth.
Responsibilities- Directly responsible for meeting specific yearly eCommerce sales goals
- Develop internal and external training programs to enrich associates’ and customers’ knowledge of our value‑add services
- Work closely with outside, inside, and counter sales teams to identify customer needs and provide digital solutions
- Collaborate with purchasing, credit, and project management teams to identify SOP enhancements and improve operations
- Identify target customer opportunities using internal analytics suite
- Visit customers to demonstrate, implement, and troubleshoot digital capabilities
- Assist in driving incremental sales via digital platforms by collaborating with the marketing team on quarterly promotions
- Build, analyze, and distribute monthly digital sales reports highlighting branch and region performance, recent wins, and opportunities
- Create and present high‑level presentations to executive teams, branch management, sales teams, strategic vendor partners, and customers
- Work cross‑collaboratively with regional Digital Business Development Managers to share best practices
- Attend Sonepar Digital meetings as needed
- Strategic thinker capable of driving sales across all digital platforms
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 1‑3 years of experience in a sales role
- Electrical distribution industry experience a plus
- Ability to travel 60% of the time, sometimes overnight
