About the Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for attracting, leading, coaching, and developing a quota‑bearing sales team of 6–12 direct reports to drive revenue for Gartner.
What you’ll do- Achieve or overachieve financial targets.
- Develop and execute strategy for business results aligned with the overall sales strategy.
- Attract and retain top sales talent using Gartner’s validated recruitment methodology and build a pipeline of candidates for future territories.
- Drive high activity by conducting team prospecting sessions with direct reports.
- Ensure each team member can develop and maintain C‑level relationships.
- Communicate global strategy effectively and provide leadership through mentorship and regular development sessions.
- Take ownership of personal and team professional growth.
- Minimum 7–15 years of consultative sales experience in high‑technology (services, software, or hardware) with 3+ years of management experience.
- Track record of successful financial performance and, for internal candidates, 2+ years of QB sales experience within Gartner.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and motivational skills.
- Strong business acumen, forecasting, influencing, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated intellectual drive, executive presence, and sales acumen.
- Base salary range: $158,000 – $199,000 per year (actual may vary).
- Bonus plan or uncapped sales incentive plan based on company and individual performance.
