Sales Consultant Mid-Market

Paychex seeks a Sales Consultant Mid-Market to drive new business for our payroll, HR, and insurance solutions in the finance and insurance sector. You'll manage a defined territory, prospect and qualify mid-market clients, lead consultative discovery, and present tailored solution bundles that address HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance needs. You will own the full sales cycle from lead to close, partner closely with implementation and client success, and maintain a strong pipeline in CRM.

Responsibilities

• Drive new mid-market sales for Paychex payroll, HR, and insurance solutions within assigned territory
• Prospect, qualify, and develop relationships with finance and insurance sector decision-makers
• Conduct discovery to understand client needs and propose tailored Paychex solutions
• Deliver product demos and presentations to key stakeholders and buying committees
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts in line with company policies and revenue targets
• Manage a consultative sales cycle from lead generation through close and onboarding handoff
• Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and activity in CRM systems
• Collaborate with marketing, implementation, and client success to ensure smooth client transition
• Stay current on HR, payroll, benefits, and compliance trends affecting mid-market clients
• Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales and activity KPIs
