Position Summary

As a successful Apprentice Electrician, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, learning, and understanding the electrical trade. You will work under the guidance of a Journeyman and Master Electrician assisting in the installation, alteration, and/or repair of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial and industrial electrical industry. This is a safety sensitive position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:

* Responsible for assembly, installation, maintenance and testing of electrical equipment and wiring systems in a commercial and industrial setting.

* Prepares work area for installation of equipment.

* Installs or helps install electrical components.

* Connects wiring and equipment as per code and job specification.

* Keeps all materials, tools, and equipment in an orderly and properly working fashion and the work area clean and organized at all times.

* Demonstrates safe work habits and proper care of tools and equipment.

* Assists in wire pulls, mounting, and strapping.

* Understands and complies with safety requirements at all times.

* Produces quality of work that meets or exceeds National Electrical Code requirements and Company standards.

* Maintains a positive attitude towards completing job while complying with all Company policies.

* Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
