Job Summary
The Installation Service Technician plays a key role in ensuring the successful installation, servicing, and support of Tra Xtion equipment at client locations. This position requires technical proficiency, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining professionalism on-site.
What You’ll Do- Travel to customer sites for equipment installations and service calls, providing timely, professional, and high‑quality support.
- Conduct site surveys to determine optimal equipment placement and installation requirements.
- Install all necessary hardware, cables, and molding for Tra Xtion systems, ensuring functionality and compliance with safety standards.
- Perform diagnostic testing, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with support and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and power tools (e.g., hammer drills, drill drivers) safely and efficiently.
- Document installation details, service activity, and system performance for each task.
- Provide clients with clear verbal and written instructions for equipment operation and maintenance.
- Maintain familiarity with Tra Xtion product lines, including hardware specifications and system updates.
- High school diploma or equivalent (trade school or college degree preferred).
- Minimum 3 years of experience installing, servicing, or troubleshooting technical equipment.
- Strong mechanical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work independently.
- Proficiency with PCs, tablets, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work in varied environments (indoor/outdoor, ladders, confined spaces).
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 90% (including Canada, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico).
- Experience with Ethernet/network systems.
- Prior experience in technical field installations or servicing electronic/mechanical systems.
