As a successful Service Manager at CEC, you are expected to manage all aspects of the service department to ensure its continued profitability and growth. This includes but is not limited to overseeing the daily dispatching and efficiencies of our service technicians and department, reviewing all billing and warranty claims, and interacting with other managers in respect to their warranty, start‑up, and installation needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in the planning, direction, and control of all phases of the electrical service operations of the company.
- Evaluate and schedule service work in a way that best utilizes manpower and maximizes profits.
- Bid on and accurately maintain service agreements.
- Meet goals and maintain customer satisfaction for the company.
- Work closely with clients, lead technicians, and other office staff members.
- Train, develop, and hold your team accountable to performance standards and key performance indicators.
- Participate in budget planning and meeting preparation.
- Ensure thoroughness in billing for all parts and materials.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects, and smooth operation of the department.
Education and Experience- Minimum of three (3) years’ management experience in a service industry.
- High school diploma, GED, or its equivalent required.
- Detail oriented and highly organized multi‑tasker with good presentation skills and the ability to convey confident and decisive messages in a fast‑paced, goal‑driven environment.
- Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in using a computer, Microsoft Office, and an aptitude for learning new technologies.
- Ability to provide unparalleled customer satisfaction.
- Excellent verbal, phone, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong mechanical and installation understanding of the tools and equipment that technicians use.
- Self‑sufficient, self‑motivated, proactive, and able to find and organize customer base and service‑related information.
This job may be performed inside or outside with possible exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and weather elements in restricted or confined spaces, on slippery or uneven surfaces, and on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, and catwalks—typical of heavy construction. The role also operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.

Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of the job site in all types of weather, which may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling, standing, or stretching. Must occasionally lift up to 40 pounds, move around on the feet regularly, sit for extended periods, and work at a computer for extended periods. May require travel, exposure to characteristic construction site dangers, and the ability to communicate with others both written and orally.
Must work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, including overtime, night shifts, and on‑call duties as needed.
