About the OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Site Lead to oversee conveyor and material handling system installation projects at distribution centers across the United States. This is a hands‑on leadership role responsible for coordinating crews, driving project execution, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring successful installation of conveyor systems. The position requires extensive travel and offers significant overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities- Direct and manage the day‑to‑day activities of on‑site mechanical and controls technicians.
- Act as the primary liaison between the on‑site team and the Field Project Manager.
- Ensure all installations and maintenance activities meet project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate the training and instruction of technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Oversee project schedule, making necessary adjustments to meet deadlines and reporting daily/weekly progress to the Field Project Manager.
- Manage hours worked by the team to stay within the project's scope and budget.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on‑site technical issues promptly.
- Plan and schedule project tasks in alignment with the milestone installation timeline(s), assigning responsibilities to ensure efficient completion of the project milestones.
- Train and mentor team members in best practices for conveyor system installation and maintenance.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- 7+ years of experience in a supervisory role within the mechanical and electrical installation field.
- Experience working with conveyor systems.
- PLC knowledge.
- Demonstrated leadership ability in managing field service teams.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management software, and familiarity with Autodesk products, ERP, and CRM systems.
- Willingness to travel to client sites frequently, up to 100%.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certifications preferred.
- Valid driver's license and driving record that facilitates automobile insurance company policy.
- Understanding of Spanish is a plus.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irving, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.00 - $37.00/hr.
