Barnes Brothers Fleet Maintenance is an independent fleet maintenance and diesel repair company based in Irving, Texas, serving commercial fleets throughout the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. We provide preventive maintenance, diagnostics, truck and trailer repair, DOT inspections, welding, and mobile fleet service to customers across a wide range of industries.

Role Description

As a on-site Senior Diesel Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- and heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment. You'll handle complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics, perform preventative maintenance, document repairs, and help maintain our high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. No job is too big nor small mentality, team first attitude.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Maintenance & Repair, with experience working on diesel engines and commercial fleet vehicles.
  • Candidates should possess proven abilities in Preventive Maintenance, including conducting inspections, identifying wear or potential failures, and performing scheduled service tasks.
  • Candidates should possess advanced Troubleshooting skills, including using diagnostic equipment, interpreting fault codes, and systematically resolving mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, maintain professionalism, and provide accurate information about repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Relevant qualifications include several years of experience as a diesel technician, ASE certifications or equivalent, familiarity with DOT regulations, and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Additional beneficial qualifications include a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), strong safety awareness, capability to work in a fast‑paced shop environment, and willingness to mentor junior technicians.
