Job SummaryEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as production demands may require:
- Must obey all safety, USDA, HACCP, and Company rules and regulations.
- Must know shop mathematics, interpret drawings, and use required tools.
- Working knowledge of refrigeration.
- Mechanically inclined with ability to utilize hand tools and testing equipment.
- Observe and record temperatures and pressures as required.
- Observe air compressors and dryers.
- Variety of pipe fitting and plumbing; work with PVC, galvanized, black and stainless pipe up to 4” dia.
- Keep compressor rooms and related areas cleaned.
- Consistently lift 50‑70 lbs.
- Good communication skills (written and oral).
- Work weekends, overtime, and be available as required.
- Communicate with management regarding concerns with Production, Safety, Employee Relations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support production demands.
- Positive attitude and teamwork skills.
- Complete pre‑employment physical and drug test; pass pulmonary fitness test.
- Complete power jack/forklift training, Lock Out/Tag Out, and Hazard Communication training courses.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and twist for up to 8 hours per day.
- Ability to work overtime as required.
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 6 months work related experience.
Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift 50‑70 lbs on a consistent basis. Must perform frequent bending, lifting, twisting, climbing, working in tight spaces, etc. Safety gear required.
Working ConditionsHigh noise, varied temperatures, slippery floors, moving equipment, dust. Employees wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
