Holt CAT is seeking an experienced Engine Field Service Technician for the Power Systems Division in Irving, Texas. This position is responsible for performing high-quality field service repair work on industrial or natural gas engines in order to respond to customer needs in a positive, caring, and timely manner and to ensure maximum value for work performed. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel in the local region.
Hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Must have a safe driving record. Must be able to pass and maintain a DOT Physical. Travel will be required.

- Troubleshoot and perform complex repairs correctly in the field such as industrial engines and transmissions.
- 3 years of field or shop service tech troubleshooting and repair skills in industrial engines and transmissions.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment using electronic and manual equipment to determine failure. CAT ET & CAT SIS 2.0 knowledge preferred.
- Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards
Performs basic to intermediate repairs and troubleshooting offsite with minimal supervision - Removes and install parts, disassembles and assembles components to CAT specifications
- Tests, makes adjustments, and verifies proper operation of all repairs and adjustments
- Prepares and completes all job related documents, writes service reports, orders parts, and maintains clear customer records; in addition, accesses databases required to complete job
- Operates equipment and vehicles with possession of all necessary licenses and certificates
- Maintains service vehicle inspection records, daily inspections and driver logs as required by the Department of Transportation
- Adheres to contamination control and HAZMAT rules and regulations
- Maintains all company equipment, tools, and vehicle in a good, clean, and working order
- Communicates job progress to supervisor and customer as needed
- Completes assigned jobs and task to meet flat rate time and re-work standards
- Works overtime as required by workload and customers' needs
- Completes all assigned Technician Training Path courses and safety training in a timely and proficient manner
- Projects professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance; may be relied upon to act as a mentor to lower level Technicians

- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and equipment used in mechanical repair
- The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
Education and Experience:
- More than three years of industrial engine repair experience is required; five or more years preferred
- Diesel Technology schooling preferred
- MSHA certification preferred

Travel: Travel required with a possibility of an overnight stay
Additional Requirements- Valid Driver's license required
- Ability to obtain a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and must have an acceptable driving record
- Must own required tools to perform repairs
- Must be able to move objects, and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
