HVAC Service Technician

A strong client in the Irving, TX area is looking for an HVAC Service Technician who's just as comfortable talking to homeowners as they are working on equipment. This role blends technical service work with a sales component, diagnosing systems, presenting solutions, and helping customers choose the right comfort options for their home.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose HVAC system performance through observation, testing, and setup
  • Disassemble and reassemble residential equipment for troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
  • Quote customer pricing using a standardized pricing guide
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, gauges, and measuring equipment
  • Explain service charges and completed work clearly to customers
  • Complete accurate, legible documentation for all work performed
  • Operate a company vehicle and trailer
  • Present and sell HVAC replacement systems, accessories, and service agreements
  • Work a rotating on call schedule including some nights and weekends
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technician Level 3 certification with a minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Trade or technical school training preferred but not required
  • Strong diagnostic ability demonstrated through experience or training
  • Ability to pass a pre employment drug screen and background check
  • Clean driving record and ability to safely operate a company vehicle
  • Comfortable working independently and communicating directly with customers
  • Ability to work in extreme heat, cold, and tight spaces including attics and crawl spaces
  • Ability to climb ladders up to 32 feet and lift up to 100 lbs of force
