Welder Mechanic – Irving, TX

We are hiring a Welder Mechanic to support fabrication and maintenance work in our Irving, TX office.

• Operate fabrication shop machinery and equipment.
• Fabricate custom and complex parts, products, machines, and equipment.
• Rework and/or repair parts, products, machines, and equipment.
• Follow blueprints to meet specifications.
• Use and maintain all tools and equipment within the fabrication shop.
• Perform quality control of own work and the work of others.
• Assist on miscellaneous projects as needed.
• Create accurate time and material take‑offs for projects.
• Use manufacturing tracking software to update items through the shop flow.
• Communicate effectively with other departments (VC, Prefab, Procurement, Engineering) to ensure timely completion of products.

• 2+ years of welding and fabricating experience.
• 2+ years of mechanic or maintenance experience.
• Experience working in the construction industry is preferred.
• Welding certifications are preferred.

• Ability to create complete and complex products and machines based on blueprints.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Proactive willingness to learn from senior fabricators.
• Commitment to producing high‑quality work.

• Proper use of PPE.
• Compliance with all safety standards and procedures.
• Active participation in safety meetings.
• Speak up when identifying unsafe conditions or practices.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, bend, pull, kneel, and reach.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk during the workday.
• Operate tools and equipment safely.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.

$22.00 – $35.00 per hour (hourly/non‑exempt position).
