Compensation: $24–$26 per hour, based on experience, plus monthly performance bonuses

Schedule: Monday–Friday, plus rotational on-call

Gaines Investment Trust is seeking an experienced Assistant Lead Maintenance to join our team at Mission at La Villita in Irving.

This is a hands-on role for a skilled multifamily maintenance professional ready to take on additional responsibility while supporting the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and helping keep the community operating at a high standard.

• Complete HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general repairs
• Support daily maintenance operations and team priorities
• Complete service requests, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance
• Assist with property inspections and maintaining the community pool
• Help maintain grounds, common areas, and overall property appearance
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and identify practical solutions
• Provide prompt, professional service to residents
• Support the Lead Maintenance Supervisor and maintenance team
• Participate in the rotational on-call schedule for maintenance emergencies

• 2+ years of multifamily maintenance experience
• HVAC certification required
• Strong HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and general troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work independently and support team priorities
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and quality workmanship
• Professional communication and customer service skills
• Dependable, motivated, and team-oriented
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to participate in the rotational on-call schedule
• Residence within a reasonable commute of Mission at La Villita (
  20–30 minutes preferred
