Sr. Software Developer

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and testing of mission-critical applications, including new applications and enhancements to existing systems
• Develop designs that are as simple, fast, efficient, robust, easy to maintain, and easy to scale
• Complete assigned responsibilities within multiple projects simultaneously
• Complete all development responsibilities after high-level initial direction
• Assist in preparing level of effort estimates
• Independently remove significant project roadblocks
• Guide and assist Developers to overcome technical problems while coaching on standards and expectations
• Ensure high quality and timely delivery of software development lifecycle
• Partner with QA resources throughout the software development lifecycle
• Adhere to company coding standards, including unit testing and code reviews
• Understand the full application lifecycle from inception through maintenance
• Provide production support as necessary

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or related field of study) or equivalent work experience plus 10 years of software development experience using the .NET Framework
• Frameworks: .NET 3.5 and later, MVC a plus
• Programming
  
  Languages:
  
  C#, T-SQL
• Database Platforms: SQL Server 2016 or later, DB2 for iSeries
• Experience designing and/or developing web services using WCF and Web API
• Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving and time management skills
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban)
• Experience dealing with legacy applications and transitioning legacy systems to current architecture standards a plus

This is a full-time position, days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position might require long hours and weekend work.
