Position: Digital S/W Engineer Intm Analyst-Officer (Irving)

Responsibilities

  • Turn tech stack and application design into code on multiple development platforms with focus on micro services.
  • Address a variety of responses to problems, questions, or situations by applying established criteria to directly influence development outcomes. Use the right technology to solve technical challenges required to deliver small‑scale features and functions and/or supporting aspects of a larger program effort.
  • Responsible for application systems analysis and programming activities that may include assisting with feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs.
  • Accountable for development, design, construction, testing, implementation and writing secure, stable, testable and maintainable code.
  • Operate with autonomy, while some oversight and direction may be required.
  • Engage in digital applications development, risk technology, middleware, mainframe and non‑mainframe applications, analytic model development, and application support activities to meet specific business needs and to test systems for integrity of deliverables.
  • Provide a solid understanding of application‑development concepts and principles and a basic knowledge of concepts and principles in other technology areas.
  • Consult with users, clients and other technology groups on issues and recommend programming solutions for customer‑exposed systems.
  • Learn the functionality, architecture, dependencies, and runtime properties of the systems involved in projects, including business requirements, application/services, runtime operations, trouble management and support strategies.
  • Understand business context and associated customer use cases.
  • Understand team technologies and evaluate system designs and architecture while participating in solution discussions, development and documentation.
  • Drive clarity in technical implementation by leading system build and performance discussions, providing technical context to team members and representing the team’s systems inside and outside Digital.
  • Occasionally seek guidance from peers or management as the team’s operating procedures and technology are well defined.
  • Build and maintain integrated project development schedules that account for dependencies, differing SDLC approaches, constraints, and contingency for unplanned delays.
  • Negotiate features and priority to help the team and customers reach consensus.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with clarity and concision.
  • Articulate development and timeline dependencies.
  • Maintain good working relationships with team members, managers, and peers.
  • Improve development processes to accelerate delivery, drive innovation, reduce costs and improve quality.
  • Measure productivity and code quality with tools such as Sonar Qube and Findbugs, focusing on automation of code quality, performance, unit testing and CI/CD pipeline processing (RTC, Jenkins, RLM).
  • Assess risk in business decisions, safeguarding the firm’s reputation, protecting Citi, its clients and assets by complying with applicable laws, regulations and policy, using sound ethical judgment and reporting control issues transparently.
  • Experience preference with Open Shift, public cloud, usage of AI tools, and No

    SQL databases.
Qualifications
  • 0–5 years in an Apps Development role with demonstrated execution capabilities.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; data‑driven and results‑oriented.
  • Experience running high‑traffic, distributed, cloud‑based services.
  • Experience influencing large‑scale culture change.
  • Experience leading infrastructure programs.
  • Skilled at working with third‑party service providers.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Education
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience.
