Quality Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer for a Contract with a client in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will ensure end-to-end software quality by designing and executing automated tests across UI, API, and backend systems in Agile environments.

Rate Range: $34/hour to $37/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Quality Engineer Job Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Python for UI and backend validation.
• Perform end-to-end testing across UI, API, and backend layers to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data, troubleshoot issues, and verify test results.
• Validate data pipelines and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity.
• Identify, document, and track defects while collaborating with cross-functional teams for timely resolution.
• Participate in test planning, code reviews, and framework enhancements to improve test coverage and maintainability.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in software quality engineering or test automation.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Python-based automation using Playwright, including UI, API, and backend testing.
• Proven proficiency in SQL and experience validating data pipelines/ETL processes within Agile and Azure-based environments.

Pay Details: $34.00 to $37.00 per hour
