Location: Charlotte, NC;
Irving, TX preferred (open to other primary hub locations: Phoenix, AZ; Columbus, OH)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (Conversion Eligible)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong Java development skills and a background in Identity and Access Management (IAM). In this role, you will contribute to moderately complex engineering initiatives, help solve challenging technical problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software solutions.
What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs using Java and related technologies
• Contribute to the delivery of large-scale software engineering initiatives
• Analyze and resolve moderately complex technical issues involving multiple variables
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and services
• Work with relational databases (SQL) to support application functionality
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders, and client teams to deliver project goals
• Ensure alignment with organizational standards, compliance, and best practices
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts

Minimum Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience)
• 7+ years of experience with Java development
• Experience with Python or Power Shell scripting
• Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database design
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering principles

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems
• Familiarity with LDAP and directory services
• Experience with Bravura Security (IDM Suite or Password Manager/Bravura Pass strongly preferred)
• Working knowledge of C++
• Experience developing secure and scalable enterprise applications

Additional Notes

• Candidates with frequent short-term roles or primarily long-term government/public sector experience will not be considered
• Prior experience with Bravura Pass or similar tools is a strong advantage
