Software Engineer, C++ Developer, Backend Developer

I'm looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join an established engineering team responsible for developing and maintaining software that powers retail checkout and point-of-sale systems deployed across thousands of locations.

This is not a greenfield project. The team is looking for someone comfortable working within a large existing codebase, debugging complex issues, implementing new features, and modernizing core applications while maintaining performance and reliability.

• Develop new features in an existing C++ codebase
• Debug and resolve complex software issues
• Enhance and maintain Windows-based desktop applications
• Write clean, maintainable object-oriented C++ code
• Participate in code reviews and Agile development activities
• Collaborate closely with software engineers to deliver stable, scalable applications

• 5+ years of professional C++ development
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Multithreaded application development
• Experience debugging and maintaining large production codebases
• Hybrid onsite in Irving, TX
• 6-month contract with strong extension potential
• W2 and C2C candidates welcome
