What You Will Do

  • Solve challenging problems for mobile off‑road machines.
  • Participate in design and development of high‑quality software and algorithms to solve customer needs.
  • Document architecture specifications, software design, verification plans, test cases, operating procedures, and safety procedures.
  • Work with application teams to collect and analyze data on customer experience with robotic and manned platforms.
  • Use appropriate tools to debug, test and maintain software and assist in the verification and validation process.
What You Have
  • Working knowledge of mobile robotics for autonomy or advanced operator‑assist systems, including computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, and familiarity with lidar, radar, and cameras.
  • Experience designing, writing, testing, and reviewing autonomy and advanced operator‑assist software; experience with Embodied AI.
  • Experience with Agile software development life cycle, C++ and Python, Azure Dev Ops or Jira, and standard development tools (CMake, Git, Sonar Qube, Docker, Google Test, Artifactory).
  • Working knowledge of cloud compute and storage tools (AWS EC2, S3, Batch).
  • Experience with ROS, Caterpillar’s Autonomous Infrastructure Software (AIS), OpenCV, Tensorflow/PyTorch, and related code development tools.
  • Extensive experience in developing, integrating, or testing complex autonomy systems that meet requirements and time constraints for autonomous machine programs focusing on machine safety and productivity.
  • Ability to solve complex issues spanning multiple subsystems.
  • Passion for innovation and problem‑solving, excellent communication and teamwork skills, and strong mathematics skills.
Education Requirements

Requires a degree or multiple degrees in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.

Additional Information

Location:

Full‑time at the Mossville, IL office or Irving, TX office.

Relocation assistance is available. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Requires up to 10% travel. Must work onsite five days a week.
