Java Developer

Job Description

We are looking for experienced full-stack software engineers who are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. This role will be responsible for writing code, pairing with other developers as appropriate, decomposing acceptance criteria to understand team backlog deliverables, complexities, and risk, while working as a strong contributor on an agile team. From a technical standpoint, the Software Engineer has full-stack coding and implementation responsibilities and adheres to best practice principles including modern cloud-based software development, agile and scrum, code quality, and tool usage.

• Write high-quality, maintainable code for front-end and back-end components across full-stack applications.
• Collaborate with team members to decompose acceptance criteria and understand backlog deliverables, complexities, and risk.
• Contribute as a strong team member in an agile environment, following best practices for cloud-based software development, code quality, and tool usage.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy software with an emphasis on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and, where applicable, GraphQL implementations.
• Work with microservices architectures and cloud-native development (e.g., AWS, Docker, Open Shift, CI/CD pipelines).

• Extensive software development experience with Java and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Spring Boot).
• Strong understanding of modern application architecture, data structures, and object-oriented principles using Java.
• Experience with AI tools to enhance development workflows.
• Proficiency with microservices, event-driven services, and cloud-native development; REST and GraphQL experience.
• Full-stack proficiency to design, develop, and maintain both front-end and back-end components.
• Front-end: experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React), HTML5, CSS.
• Back-end: server-side logic and API development using languages such as Java, Python, or similar.
• Database expertise in SQL/PL-SQL and RDBMS (Oracle strongly preferred).
• API development experience with high-performance RESTful APIs.
• CI/CD and Dev Ops experience with tools for building and deploying code (e.g., Maven, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, Open Shift).
• Experience with AWS is advantageous.
• Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., JIRA).
• Testing automation for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing; strong emphasis on code quality.
• Version control proficiency (e.g., Git Hub Enterprise).

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Final compensation will depend on location, skills, and relevant experience. The position may be eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including medical and dental benefits, disability insurance, paid time off (including sick leave), and other leave options.
