10 is currently seeking a Principal Engineer
- Hybrid for a 23+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Irving, TX.

As a Principal Engineer in the client's Chief Data Office (CDO), you will be a hands-on technical leader who turns reference architecture into production-ready engineering assets. You will design, build, and continuously improve reusable CI/CD workflow components, deployment patterns, and policy-driven security/compliance automation that enable predictable, audit-ready delivery across the enterprise. A central focus of this role is enabling a key release management initiative by delivering practical templates, automation libraries, and reference implementations.

• Implement and maintain reference implementations for web services, APIs, data pipelines, CMS platforms, and enterprise integration patterns
• Translate architecture standards into executable assets: starter repositories, reusable libraries, workflow templates, and deployment blueprints
• Engineer standardized Git Hub Actions workflow templates and reusable workflows that encode enterprise best practices for build, test, and security scanning
• Integrate and operationalize security and quality scanning within CI workflows (Sonar, SAST, SCA, secret scanning, DAST)
• Build and maintain standardized Harness CD pipeline modules for deployments to Open Shift (OCP)
• Drive adoption of engineering standards through reference code, internal enablement sessions, and measured improvements to developer experience
• Identify friction points in release governance and delivery workflows and deliver automation that removes toil and variability
• Provide technical mentorship to Lead and Senior Engineers, including design reviews and implementation coaching

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong proficiency in Python and leading complex engineering initiatives
• 10+ years of experience building web applications and APIs using industry-standard frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask)
• 8+ years designing and implementing CI/CD automation and Dev Ops practices, including Git Hub Actions and reusable workflow development
• 5+ years of experience with cloud-native platforms and container orchestration (Open Shift/Kubernetes) including deployment automation
• 5+ years of Dev Sec Ops  or application security engineering experience, including compliance automation and vulnerability management
• Hands-on experience integrating security and quality scanning into CI/CD pipelines (Sonar, Checkmarx, Black Duck, Git Hub Secret Scanning, DAST) with enforceable policy gates
• Experience building or operating deployment automation to Open Shift using Harness CD or equivalent, including promotion, approvals, and rollback strategies
• Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, security, platform, and governance stakeholders
• Experience utilizing coding assistants (Git Hub Copilot) and AI-powered development tools
• Ability to work on-site in a hybrid schedule

• 12-15 years of Python development with deep expertise in modern Python patterns, packaging, and test automation (Pytest)
• Experience developing and maintaining Django-based platforms at enterprise scale; familiarity with Wagtail CMS
• Experience with Open Shift/Kubernetes platform engineering and operational patterns
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and Git Ops practices (Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD)
• Deep familiarity with branching strategies, repo governance, and release branching models
• Experience with SRE practices, observability platforms, and incident management workflows
• Demonstrable prior experience with Open Source Contributions to Conda-Forge or Pixi Package Manager

Pay range: $86.09 - $94.09 per hour
