Android Architect

Key responsibilities Design and architect scalable, maintainable Android applications using Kotlin and React Native, with deep expertise in native Android module development Establish and enforce Android architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture) and lead technical design reviews across the engineering team Develop expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, implementing native Android capabilities, performance optimizations, and platform-specific features Mentor and guide a team of Android engineers, conducting code reviews and driving continuous improvement in development practices and code quality Own integration with REST APIs and GraphQL services, ensuring secure, efficient data flows and implementing robust error handling and offline capabilities on Android Lead mobile security initiatives including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance with Android security best practices and data protection standards Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Android, automated testing strategies (Espresso, JUnit, UI Automator), and Google Play Store deployment processes Communicate technical decisions clearly to cross-functional stakeholders and influence product strategy through architectural insight Required qualifications 10+ years of mobile development experience Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, Java, JavaScript/Type Script, with hands-on experience building production Android applications Strong experience developing native Android modules and libraries using Kotlin, with deep knowledge of Android framework, lifecycle management, and platform APIs Proven ability to design scalable Android architectures, establish coding standards, and mentor Android engineering teams Deep knowledge of Android security, authentication patterns, API integration, performance optimization, and memory management Excellent communication skills with ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Preferred qualifications

Experience with Android state management solutions at scale (Redux, Recoil, MobX, or similar) Familiarity with Android testing frameworks (Espresso, JUnit, UI Automator) and automated testing best practices Background in Android app performance optimization, memory management, battery efficiency, and handling device fragmentation across Android versions Experience publishing and maintaining apps in Google Play Store, including release management and Play Console optimization Knowledge of Jetpack libraries (Compose, Navigation, Room, Hilt) and modern Android development patterns
