Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Node.js Lead to join our engineering team in Irving, TX
. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript/Type Script, REST APIs, Microservices, cloud technologies, and modern backend development
.
The Node.js Lead will be responsible for leading technical design and development, mentoring engineers, establishing development best practices, and delivering highly scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise applications.
This is a 100% onsite position in Irving, TX
, and candidates must be local to the Dallas/Irving area and able to work onsite from day one.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable backend applications using Node.js, JavaScript, and Type Script .
- Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout the complete software development lifecycle.
- Design and develop RESTful APIs, Microservices, and event-driven applications
. - Lead and mentor a team of Node.js/backend developers.
- Review technical designs, architecture, code, and development practices.
- Establish coding standards, development guidelines, and reusable design patterns.
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Product Managers, QA, Dev Ops, and other engineering teams.
- Translate business and functional requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Design and optimize application architecture for performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot complex application and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
- Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using technologies such as OAuth 2.0 and JWT
. - Develop and maintain high-quality APIs and backend services.
- Optimize database queries, application performance, and service response times.
- Support CI/CD processes and automated deployments.
- Ensure applications meet enterprise security, quality, and performance standards.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on Node.js experience.
- Strong expertise in Node.js, JavaScript, and Type Script .
- Hands-on experience with Express.js, NestJS, or similar Node.js frameworks
. - Strong experience developing REST APIs and Microservices
. - Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with
SQL and No
SQL databases
, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or similar. - Experience with at least one major cloud platform:
AWS, Azure, or GCP
. - Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes
. - Experience with
Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, Git Lab CI, or Azure Dev Ops. - Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, design patterns, and application architecture.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Chai, or Supertest
. - Experience working with production applications and resolving complex technical issues.
- Strong understanding of API security, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging/event-streaming platforms
. - Experience with Redis or other caching technologies
. - Knowledge of GraphQL
. - Experience with AWS Lambda / Serverless architecture
. - Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
. - Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Cloud Watch
. - Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong technical leadership and decision-making capabilities.
- Proven ability to mentor and guide software engineers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Must be local to Irving, TX / Dallas-Fort Worth area.
- Must be available to work 100% onsite in Irving, TX.
- Must be able to work onsite from Day 1.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
