The IT Software Engineer (P2) is an execution-focused individual contributor responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable software solutions that support BFS business capabilities across omni-channel, supply chain, and enterprise platforms.
The ideal candidate will:
- Build and support applications aligned with BFS enterprise architecture and integration standards (API-first, event-driven, cloud-ready), leveraging current platforms while remaining adaptable to emerging integration and automation technologies.
- Deliver high-quality, maintainable code that supports critical systems such as SAP S/4
HANA, Salesforce, and digital commerce platforms - Contribute to modernization efforts including legacy remediation, cloud-native development, and integration platform evolution that improve scalability, maintainability, and business agility.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, architecture, QA, IT operations) to deliver business value
- Demonstrate continuous learning, ownership, and accountability for engineering outcomes
- Exhibit a growth mindset and technical curiosity by continuously learning new integration patterns, platforms, tools, and technologies as business needs evolve
- Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and services in alignment with BFS standards and SDLC practices
- Contribute to building APIs, microservices, and event-driven integrations across enterprise systems
- Collaborate with architects and senior engineers to implement scalable and secure solutions
- Translate functional and technical requirements into working code and technical designs
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives) and deliver committed work
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues; participate in on-call rotations where applicable
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Dev Ops practices
- Ensure adherence to security, compliance, and architectural standards (e.g., API Gateway, IAM, data protection)
- Support integration with platforms such as SAP S/4
HANA, messaging/event frameworks, and third-party SaaS systems - Document technical designs, code, and implementation details
- Continuously improve code quality, performance, and maintainability
- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Assist in evaluating new tools, frameworks, and technologies

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
- 2-5 years of hands‑on software engineering experience especially in Integration Development & Delivery. Preferably platforms include Mule Soft and/or Spring boot and/or SAP CPI/PI and/or other modern Integration platforms
- Hands‑on experience in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript)
