Shipping Coordinator

Department:
Logistics / Operations.We’re seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Coordinator to join our team. In this office-based role, you’ll manage shipping documentation, track shipments, and coordinate deliveries to ensure smooth, timely operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively with customers and brokers, and brings hands-on experience in shipping and logistics. (Office position — no warehouse duties.

Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.)

• Collect, review, and verify shipping documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Track shipments from origin to destination and maintain up-to-date status information.
• Handle freight adjustments and resolve discrepancies as needed.
• Coordinate delivery schedules and manage appointment bookings.
• Communicate with customers regarding Bill of Lading drafts and loading plans.
• Liaise with brokers on shipment arrivals and customs-related matters.
• Maintain accurate and organized records for all shipments.
• Keep the order management system current with the latest shipment and delivery data.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in shipping, logistics, freight, and import operations.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Comfortable with basic office equipment, computers, and general typing tasks.
• Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred:
  Bilingual (English/Spanish); experience with Quick Books.
• Preferred experience:
  
  ocean freight management (2 yrs), import logistics (2 yrs), Quick Books (1 yr).
