Forklift Operator

Job Overview

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform Order Filler and Checker duties. Salary: $18.00 per hour.

• Operating vehicles, mechanized devices, or equipment, including forklifts.
• Inspecting equipment, structures, or materials to identify errors or defects.
• Communicating with supervisors, peers, or subordinates by telephone, in written form, e‑mail, or in person.
• Handling and moving objects with hands and arms, installing, positioning, and moving materials.
• Finalizing receipt of goods, reporting on closing day, and providing documentation for processing.
• Verifying all reports for accuracy of locations, quantities, and product received.
• Performing a daily checklist on all equipment used.
• Identifying and reporting safety hazards.
• Repacking damaged product in new boxes and palletizing.
• Cleansing warehouse area as assigned.
• Depositing trash from assigned area in dumpster.
• Performing other assignments as requested.

• One year as a Forklift Operator.
• Ability to lift and maneuver cases over 50 lbs continuously.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug testing and background check.
• Own reliable transportation to and from work.

Must be able to work in different climates (cooler, freezer, dry).
