Position Type: Temp-to-Hire

Location: Irving, TX

Pay Rate: $18.00 / hour

Shift: 1st Shift | 4:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Our client is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join their warehouse operations team in Irving, TX. This role is essential to maintaining smooth daily dispatch operations—verifying order accuracy, staging pallets, and coordinating directly with outgoing drivers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Order & Paperwork Verification: Review and check off driver delivery manifests and shipping documentation to ensure complete accuracy before staging.
• Pallet Preparation: Build, wrap, and stage pallets efficiently to ensure freight is secure and ready for prompt loading.
• Freight Loading: Safely operate material handling equipment to load outbound shipments onto 3rd party carrier trailers and hot-shot transport vehicles.
• Warehouse Safety & Maintenance: Adhere to all facility safety protocols, maintain equipment cleanliness, and ensure staging areas remain free of hazards.

Candidate Requirements

• Forklift Experience: Hands-on experience safely operating powered industrial trucks in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Detail-Oriented: Ability to accurately review paperwork against physical cargo to eliminate order errors.
• Schedule Reliability: Ability to consistently report for early-morning shifts (4:00 AM start time).
• Physical & Safety Standards: Ability to perform standard warehouse physical tasks (lifting, bending, standing) throughout the shift.

Safety Requirements & Dress Code

• Footwear: Steel-toe work boots required.
• Safety Gear: High-visibility safety vest required at all times on the warehouse floor.
