Position Summary

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating and processing daily outbound shipments within a fast-paced warehouse environment near the DFW Airport. This role ensures orders are accurately picked, packed, labeled, documented, and shipped according to customer requirements and carrier specifications. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities to support efficient distribution operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and prepare outbound shipments, including picking, packing, labeling, and shipping documentation.
  • Verify shipment accuracy against customer orders, packing lists, and shipping requirements.
  • Schedule and coordinate shipments with carriers, including air cargo and ground transportation providers.
  • Ensure all shipments are dispatched on time and in compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
  • Generate bills of lading, shipping labels, and other required shipping documents.
  • Maintain accurate records within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ERP systems, and shipping software.
  • Communicate with warehouse personnel, customer service teams, and carriers regarding shipment status and delivery schedules.
  • Investigate and resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, damages, or missing shipments.
  • Assist with inventory control activities, cycle counts, and inventory accuracy verification as needed.
  • Follow company policies, safety procedures, and OSHA regulations at all times.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts to enhance shipping accuracy, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Perform routine audits of shipments and documentation to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 years of shipping, warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience preferred.
  • Experience in a high-volume warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
