Finishing Associate

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Irvington, NJ for a Finishing Associate at Bestmark National. The Finishing Associate will be responsible for staining, painting, and color matching.

• Proficiency in staining, painting, and color matching
• Experience collaborating with finishers for various wood and veneer types
• Demonstrated ability to achieve color consistency and accurate color matches
• Comprehensive knowledge of products within the finishing department
• Capability to match control samples provided by clients
• Expertise in sanding and surface preparation
• Adherence to all applicable safety procedures and regulations
• Active contribution of ideas and suggestions for health and safety enhancements
• Prompt reporting of all unsafe conditions and acts upon awareness
• Perform all tasks while following safe practices and utilizing proper PPE
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the day
• Execution of other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Finishing Manager

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Finishing
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, coupled with strong problem-solving abilities
• Competence in operating tools and equipment in a safe and productive manner
• Physical capacity to lift 50-75 lbs; reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb stairs, kneel, and crouch
• Highly motivated with the capacity for self-directed work
• Understanding of client quality expectations
• Willingness to work overtime as required

Estimated Salary Range: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
